Anne Alexander

Anne Alexander was a woman of faith, service and generosity whose legacy lives on through the Judd S. Alexander Foundation. Born in 1884 in Illinois, she later married Judd Alexander and made Wausau her home, embracing the community’s strong civic spirit. Anne dedicated herself to volunteer work, including more than 40 years on the Wausau Public Library Board. After Judd’s death, she established the Judd S. Alexander Foundation in 1973 to honor his memory and strengthen the community she loved. Since its founding, the foundation has granted more than $75 million to strengthen education, economic  development, the arts and other areas that benefit the residents of Marathon County.
